We've arrived. Our new home. A long journey, but certainly a worthwhile one. This land is beautiful, and so far from our old home. We can start anew here.

We've settled near a lake, in a large patch of grassland. There's a forest a short while north, and some mountains further to the west. No large creatures detected in the local area, though we have found these strange canine-like creatures. We're calling them Ekx. They're surprisingly sociable, and have taken a real shine to folks around here. Gonna have to work on taming and training them properly, but it feels good to have companions so quickly. Makes this place feel that much more like home.
