Mezokell originate from Mincil. They were late-comers in the world union, and are still slow to spread across the world.
Biology
Physical Description
Mezokell are very large, at 10 feet (3 meters) at the shoulder. Their neck is equal length to their body, and their tail is slightly longer. They have two pairs of horns on the top of their head. They're covered in large, overlapping scales, with thick belly plates along their entire underside. They have a large pair of wings with three fingers. They are always dark colored except for their belly scales, wings, and horns which can be any color.
Mezokell scales are made of stone and minerals, and they fuse various gems to their scales using their magic, and then are able to keep replenishing that gem so long as they keep eating the necessary minerals.
Diet
Mezokell are carnivorous, but also eat various minerals and gems to fuel their scale gems.
Reproduction
Mezokell can reproduce any time of the year. Any number of parents will gather together and breath out their energy, coalescing it into an orb that forms an egg. This egg will hatch after several seasons into a single hatchling, which will then take 7 years to grow into a full-grown adult.
Frequently, if the parents provide enough energy or feed extra gem magic to the egg, the hatchling will be born with either rainbow colors on their underbelly, wings, and horns, or with gems already embedded in their scales.
Lifecycle
Newborn hatchlings are born looking like miniature adults. They're shaky and stumble a lot the first week of life, but eventually they get used to their legs and are able to keep up with their parents more easily. Mezokell live up to 150 years, slowing down around 120 years.

Culture
Mezokell culture revolves a lot around aesthetics, always looking to outshine each other. They largely prefer flashy colors and noisy patterns, the more attention grabbing, the better. That said, Mezokell are no otherwise competitive, and get along well with their fellows. They also take great pride in their gem crafts, and most Mezokell have at least some ability to shape gems to their needs.

Mezokell are moderately socialable, prefering some degree of company occasionally, but not being strict on the kind of company.
Sapience
Mezokell are at the forefront of gemcrafts, using their magic and gemcutting skills to craft all sorts of gems and jewelry, especially magic based ones.
Abilities
-Gem shaping: Mezokell almost universally know how to shape gems according to their needs using just their claws and their breath.
-Gem breath: able to breath out a mineral heavy breath that can shape gem and crystals according to their need, it's super heated in order to smooth out their work flow, but can also leave nasty crystal burns on opponents.
-Spellcraft: most of their spells use gems in order to strengthen the spell, but they can also cast spells using just the minerals from their breath.
-Language: Mezokell of the modern era are fully fluent in the common tongue both verbally and written.
