Stagethope, or simply 'Stags', are an elk-like species.

Stags are native to Aufer and have not spread beyond that.
Biology
Physical Description
Stags are bulky and large, standing at 7 feet (2.1 meters) at the shoulder. They have large crescent shaped horns, with each one having three points sticking forward, and four points behind. The horns have a jelly like substance inside that can be extended from the horn tips to grip and tear off leaves. They have short nubs for a tail, thick hooves, and a slight hump to their back shoulders where extra muscle is stored.
Diet
Stags are vegetarians, eating primarily leaves from bushes and low hanging branches.
Reproduction
Stags breed in Alavora, and give birth in late Esorian. They're born able to walk and run, and take 2 years to fully grow.
Lifecycle
Stags live 40 years, and slow down around 30 years old.

Stags are active all year round.

Temperament
Stags are aggressive and loud.
Sociability
Stagethope are not especially social, they're largely neutral to their own kind except during breeding season, when males and females will get together and compete for mates. They're aggressive towards anything deemed threatening, and ignore anything else.
Domestication
Stagethope have not been domesticated.
