The economy of Aneith is a mix of trade and currency.

The currency is gemstones mined and refined in Mincil. A secret spell is used to infuse them with their value mark. While there's been many attempts to make counterfeits, no one can quite seem to make exact copies, as the spell that creates the value mark also makes the gem near indestructable- venders often keep a hammer on hand to try to smash gems they get, in order to weed out fakes.

The values go as follows:

Clear: the lowest

Green: worth 10 clear

Blue: worth 10 green (100 clear)

Red: worth 10 blue (1,000 clear)

Black: worth 10 red (10,000 clear)

Prismatic: worth 10 black (100,000 clear)

Accordingly, prismatic's are near impossible to find- only seen in high end deals. Blacks and reds are rare too- the most common place currencies are clears, greens, and blues.

Some regions have been slow to adopt the gem currencies, such as Hekeen and Riffen. They rely largely on trades of goods and services.

Trading goods and services is still a major method of trade in most regions, with only Mincil being largely gem-based economies.
